LG's 65in rollable OLED makes every other TV look boring

LG Unveils 65-inch UHD Rollable OLED Display

LG 88-inch 8K OLED display is simply amazing

This is not all, however, as it plans to add another interesting product to the mix. LG is also showing off an 88-inch OLED 8K television set, because even though you might be fine with your 1080p set, television manufacturers want you to cram as many pixels into your eyeballs as possible.

One of the features LG have been able to implement using the rollable technology is having the TV operate in different formats. Fast-forward to this week, LG has come back with its next attempt - only bigger and better than before. In fact, LG's largest existing OLED display is 77-inches with a heavy price tag of $20,000, and that's only in 4K. All told, there's no rush to upgrade if you scored one of LG's higher-end TVs in the past year or two. The roll-up screen makes the TV particularly discreet - hidden away among the furniture when not in use, or only rolled out onto a wall when switched on. So you can make better space utilization by owning this new OLED display. The annual Consumer Electronics Show is happening in Las Vegas right now, shining a global spotlight on advanced technologies such as Universal Display's OLED solutions for enthusiasts and investors alike. Under the hood, the high-end TVs are powered by LG's fastest Alpha 9 that LG says can more accurate color and "enhanced image rendering".

In 2018, those brains include an enhanced version of LG's webOS TV platform that offers Google Assistant, voice control and AI learning, allowing you to search for content and control other devices, all by voice.

All these reminders of the rising OLED trend lifted Universal Display shares to new all-time highs, posting a 241% return over the last 52 weeks.
