The Israeli Supreme Court on 4 December 2017 issued an order nisi ("order to show cause") in a petition against the Settlement Regularization Law filed by Adalah - The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel, Jerusalem Legal Aid and Human Rights Center (JLAC), and Al Mezan Center for Human Rights (Gaza) on behalf of 17 local Palestinian authorities in the West Bank.
The release noted that many other cases received treatment on site.
Around 2,000 Palestinians, enraged by US President Donald Trump'sdecision to move the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, swarmed the streets of the West Bank and Gaza for the sixth consecutive Friday, burning tires and hurling projectiles at the Israel Defense Force (IDF) in 20 locations across the occupied Palestinian territories.
