"The cat has leg fracture but is going to be ok", the department wrote.

The clip, which was shared all over social media, showed the teen hurling the cat 15 to 20 yards onto a paved road.

Ontario Police Department said that although the suspect has yet to be found, the cat, which suffered a fractured leg, was returned to its owner, The New York Post reported.

The Ontario police station released a statement on Twitter on Saturday night saying that the cat, whose name is Spot, survived the horrific ordeal.

A viral video has sparked outrage online and a police investigation into animal abuse.

The cat's owner, Perla, and her mother told NBC4 they refuse to watch the video because it's too traumatic.

Harbaugh caught wind of the comment and based on his response Monday, it seems like he didn't appreciate the shot at MI . The City Council proclaimed it " San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl 40th Game Day" on Monday in San Diego.

Cops said a local 16-year-old, identified on the social media platform as "Charlie", is the one believed to have lifted the animal with both hands before flinging it cruelly into the air.

The devastated pet owner, who found the stray kitten four months ago, told NBC4 that they refused to watch the upsetting video.

Another user said: "I really just want someone to drop his name".

The video provoked a strong reaction from social media users, with many angry at the actions depicted in the video. The Inland Valley Humane Society treated him and is assisting police with the investigation.

"He hangs around here in the alley all the time", Oscar Ramos told the station. "He probably did it just to look cool on video", he added.
