Google Maps introduces India-first two-wheeler mode
Google Maps version 9.67.1, updated on November 30, 2017 for Android features the two-wheeler mode so in case you haven't got it, wait for the app update.
Google Maps director Martha Welsh made an official announcement at the event that the feature is being introduced in India as India has the largest number of registered two-wheeler vehicles.
Google Maps has been a pretty useful tool for navigation providing auto and walking routes as well as the ability to directly book a cab.
Google believes that India is the largest two-wheeler market in the world and it was important to get this right. Motorcycle and scooter users will now be able to navigate their way with the two wheeler mode in their navigation. Similarly, there are highways where two wheelers are not allowed.

While Android OreoGo will pre-install Assistant on budget smartphones, the digital helper is also heading to a feature phone. In a similar situation, a auto owner would navigate to his destination using Google Maps. For example, Google Maps calculated an estimated 256KM trip would take roughly around forty minutes less time on a two-wheeler as compared to if taken via a big vehicle.
The two-wheeler mode is particularly helpful in cities like Pune, which has a high density of two wheelers. A user can now estimate the time of arrival to the destination in a more accurate fashion. The features have proven to be so popular that they have since rolled out to other markets around the world.
Anyone who has used a smartphone would know what Google Maps is.
