Terry Crews reportedly files a police report over sexual assault

"People need to be held accountable", the former National Football League player told TMZ outside of a Hollywood police station, adding that he also plans to file a lawsuit. When asked by the gossip rag's photographer why he filed the report, Crews responded, "Because people have to be held accountable". Crews also said he plans to file a civil lawsuit.

Although the actor has yet to name the alleged groper, Variety, named Star agent Adam Venit, the head of talent agency William Morris Endeavor's motion picture group. Crews tweeted that he contemplated fighting the man, but "thought twice about how the whole thing would appear".

Law enforcement sources confirmed the report was filed however as the alleged incident occurred in 2016 Crews' decision to file the report could trigger a criminal investigation as it is within California's statue of limitations.

Crews said he later received a phone call from Venit, who reportedly apologized, but the actor added he never found out "why he did what he did".

He continued: "I let it go. (Yes) R you prepared 2b ostracized?(No)".

He cited the Harvey Weinstein sexual assault and harassment scandal as his motivation for coming forward.
