If you are among the many that are highly critical of EA (2017 has made it very easy to, honestly), then a new interview CEO Andrew Wilson where he discussed the possibility of the publisher relying on online updates or subscriptions instead of releasing a new annual version of its titles might not change your opinion of it.

During an interview with Bloomberg this week, Wilson spoke briefly about a future that doesn't involve annual releases for games like Federation Internationale de Football Association or Madden. However, don't expect it to happen any time soon: "There's a few things that have got to happen first", Wilson explained.

Are you one of the gamers that picks up the new Madden every year? Going to a subscription model would make some fiscal sense a sit would cut down the number of physical releases drastically every other year across various franchises.

Huge changes could be coming to EA Sports games like Madden, NHL and the Federation Internationale de Football Association series that will have a big impact on how we play sports games.

In Korea and China, for example, EA (alongside Nexon) are responsible for FIFA Online, an online massively multiplayer FIFA game that isn't available outside of select territories. "We can really think about those games as a 365-day, live service".

Former MLB pitcher died in Vacaville-made airplane
Almost every memory began with a story about Halladay's legendary work ethic, his workout program and his early morning routine. Another A5 crashed in April, making a hard landing in the water off Key Largo, Florida, injuring the pilot and his passenger.

But as it pertains specifically to sports video games, perhaps Wilson's idea is an indication that game designers simply are running out of ideas, and they know it.

Wilson was also asked why there's now no service yet that's considered as the "Netflix of gaming".

"The greatest disruptor to the consumption of entertainment media in the last five years has been the combination of streaming plus subscription", Wilson told Chang.

"When we design a game that lives in a true streaming world, we have to think about screen size and session time".

"How does a Madden game that exists in the cloud manifest on your mobile phone, one minute at a time?" "It's changed the way we watch television". Historically with companies, it has shown that regular updates for a monthly fee is a lot more manageable rather than $60 at a time.
