Bafana Bafana are set to lock horns with African powerhouses Senegal in back-to-back Federation Internationale de Football Association 2018 World Cup qualifiers, and Goal looks at the history between the two sides.

Needing to beat Senegal in Polokwane, and again next Tuesday in Dakar, it was always going to take a small miracle or at least a large slice of fortune for South Africa to book their spot at the finals next year.

Burkina Faso now occupy second place on six points, while Cape Verde, also on six points, are third.
