A Bahraini national flag flies near busy traffic on a road during morning rush hour in Manama
The Bahraini foreign minister, Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmed, said the huge explosion that detonated in Buri, just outside the capital city of Manama, was an intentional act of terrorism and sabotage.
Bahrain's Interior Ministry made the announcement on Saturday afternoon, alleging that Iran was in communication and guiding those responsible for the pipeline explosion and other attacks.
An oil pipeline exploded in Bahrain on Friday, causing a massive fire near a market and a hospital.
Bahrain shares the affected Abu Safa oil field with neighbour Saudi Arabia, with around 230,000 barrels pumped through the pipeline every day, according to UAE newspaper The National. However, it potentially opens a new front in the low-level insurgency plaguing Bahrain since its 2011 Arab Spring protests. The fire service also evacuated homes in the nearby village of Buri, 15km south of Manama, it added. Late on Saturday, media reported citing Bahrain's energy company Bapco that oil supplies between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have resumed following the incident.

"Terrorist acts witnessed by the country in the recent period are carried out through direct contacts and instructions from Iran", a statement quoted Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah al-Khalifa as saying.
This "is a risky Iranian escalation aimed at terrorizing citizens and damaging the world's oil industry", the minister tweeted.
Iranian authorities have not yet responded to the comments of the Bahraini interior minister. Independent news gathering there has grown more hard, with the government refusing to accredit two AP reporters and others.
