NFL Commissioner Asking For $50-Million Dollar Salary
13 November 2017, 01:41 | Andy Ferguson
"One NFL owner told ESPN that there are 'several owners in this league who don't make $40 million a year.' The owner was referring to the salaries that owners take, which does not include the increase in valuations that each NFL franchise has undergone", the two ESPN insiders noted.
Goodell, who now makes approximately $30 million per year, reportedly is seeking an annual salary of almost $50 million, a private jet for life and lifetime health insurance for his family.
The committee consists of six owners, including the New England Patriots' Robert Kraft, the New York Giants' John Mara and the Pittsburgh Steelers' Art Rooney II. The requests have thus far been turning head in a negative way among the NFL's elite, with one owner saying that the demands are "offensive" and "unseemly".
In the letter sent to the compensation committee and National Football League counsel, it stated Jones "has discovered a number of very concerning issues", including a contention that Blank has "misled" the owners not serving on the committee and that "critical facts" have been misrepresented.

Andhra Pradesh: Boat capsizes in Krishna River, 14 dead
The authorities have pressed into service a team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to rescue the missing passengers. The tourism department of Andhra Pradesh had given permission for private agencies to operate boats to Bhavani Island regularly.
Jones used to have an non-voting ad hoc role in the committee, but was removed from that position. However, NFL spokesperson Joe Lockhart denies that that is all Goodell asked for. Goodell's current deal ends in 2019.
The committee will address Goodell's salary and compensation package. The sources suggest that "at best" Jones has maybe three other owners in his corner that Goodell should go, but is nowhere close to the 24 votes required to derail a process that is in essence already completed (pending just a formal signing and announcement, sources said).
Owners also feel that outside issues are destroying the product. As PFW reported this week, Jones may have a half-dozen owners in his corner, while a larger group remains displeased with Goodell but isn't sure how to respond, and a growing faction is furious with Jones over his public handling of the NFL's private business. The Commissioner has wide latitude to determine discipline for players with little recourse for teams. Those are really separate issues as to [Elliot].
