UK industrial production was surprisingly strong in September
France industrial production rebounded in September, data from the statistical office Insee showed Friday.
The reports round off a quarter which saw economic growth pick up slightly to 0.4 percent, a level which remains below its pre-Brexit referendum average as political uncertainty and inflation crimp consumer spending.
Britain's industrial output grew at its fastest pace this year in September, according to official figures, owing to growing machinery and equipment output. It showed a growth of 2.5 per cent in first half of this fiscal compared to 5.8 per cent a year before.
The indices of industrial production for the mining, manufacturing and electricity sectors for the month of September 2017 stand at 94.6, 125.1 and 150.5 respectively, with the corresponding growth rates of 7.9 percent, 3.4 percent and 3.4 percent as compared to September 2016.

The consumer durables and consumer non-durables have recorded growth of (-) 4.8 percent and 10.0 percent respectively.
