'Hannity' fans boycott Keurig for pulling ads over Moore coverage

Alabama GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore has denied sexual harassment allegations from four women when they were merely teens

At least five companies have pulled their ads from Sean Hannity's primetime cable show following his comments on the Washington Post report detailing allegations that Roy Moore, Republican candidate for the vacant Alabama US Senate seat, romantically pursued several teenage girls, including a 14-year-old.

Once Hannity's social-media army caught wind of Keurig's disavowal, some supporters filmed themselves destroying their Keurig coffee makers in retaliation.

Although sponsors did not explain the reasoning behind the decision to stop advertising on the show, they tweeted the announcements after critics bashed Hannity for appearing to defend Moore and question the authenticity of accusations made against him.

"Thank you, @Keurig, for doing the right thing and pulling your ads from Hannity's show".

Even if Keurig was not specifically weighing in on the scandal, Hannity's fans saw the company as taking sides in a debate that's conflated morality and politics.

On Friday, Keurig and Realtor.com announced on Twitter that they would stop advertising on Hannity's shows after complaints about the host's defense of embattled Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore. The former judge was accused of sexual misconduct with teenagers, including a 14-year-old girl, in a bombshell article published last week by the Washington Post. On a second visit, he took off her shirt and trousers and removed his clothes except for his underwear before touching her over her bra and underpants, Corfman told the Post.

Hannity defended Moore last week and suggested his accuser-who claims she was 14 at the time of the incident when Moore was 32-could be lying.

Trump calls for closer Vietnam ties
If it did happen it could be a good thing, I can tell you, for North Korea, but it could also be good for a lot of other places and be good for the rest the world.

"Thank you for your concern and for bringing this to our attention".

Hannity responded to the outpouring of support on Sunday, and, on Twitter, wrote, "I am humbled and speechless and frankly laughing my ass off".

Companies commonly shift they sponsorships to protect their brand.

Fox News Channel host Sean Hannity.

"I don't want people losing their jobs because sales dropped so dramatically because conservatives don't want to buy their machines", Hannity said, adding that he is going to give away "500 coffee machines" to his supporters.

Namely, the one-two punch of its unsurpassed convenience: The Keurig doesn't make more coffee than you need, requires no regular cleaning, and doesn't make you wait long while it brews-and it has a caffeine-addicted customer-base. It is unclear if the angry "Hannity" fans are a large enough group to hurt the company's coffee sales.
