Firing of Bret Bielema was a long time coming

Former Badgers coach fired from Arkansas moments after losing SEC game

Mizzou QB Drew Lock sets new SEC touchdown pass record in win over Arkansas

Lock fired three touchdown passes before halftime.

Bielema's exit came with much less fanfare on Friday when the former Wisconsin coach was sacked in a tiny corner office of Razorback Stadium - moments after the Razorbacks ended their disappointing season with a 48-45 loss to Missouri. Still, 2017 marked a noticeable downturn in Fayetteville; after a three-win season in 2013, Bielema's teams had won seven, eight and then seven games in his next three years at the helm of the Razorbacks. Now in the midst of his third year as the starter, Lock last season completed 54.6 of his passing attempts and fell one yard shy of 3,400 with 23 touchdowns against 10 interceptions.

Tucker McCann made a 19-yard field goal with five seconds remaining, and Missouri extended its winning streak to six straight games with a 48-45 victory over Arkansas on Friday.

"I was actually thinking about it a couple of days ago, I'm playing with one of the best quarterbacks in history, not only for Mizzou or the SEC, but in general", Missouri wide receiver Emanual Hall said. Okwuegbunam also had two touchdown catches to bring his season total to 11 from his tight end position.

Manchester United FC: Jose Mourinho tells 'disappearing' Henrikh Mkhitaryan he must improve
For now, the boss is just happy having the veteran Swede as another option to lessen the pressure on Romelu Lukaku. Good approach, defensively very well organised. "They gave us probably the hardest match we've had this season".

Adam Wooten, an A-State fan, said the time had come for the former Wisconsin coach to go. Missouri's secondary struggled throughout the game, giving up big play after big play to Arkansas quarterback Austin Allen, who threw for 313 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

It was a back-and-forth game.

The Razorbacks season is finished.
