Gareth Bale suffers new setback as injury woe continues for Real Madrid star

Another injury blow for Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale

Real Madrid attacking midfielder, Isco sympathises with Gareth Bale, after his recent injury setback.

Bale, who had his 2016-17 campaign disrupted by calf and ankle problems, was back in training with Zinedine Zidane's squad ahead of next weekend's derby at Atletico Madrid but a club statement confirmed he has strained an adductor muscle in his left leg.

Isco admits that Real Madrid teammate Gareth Bale "is having a hard time", having been ruled out of action for a further month or so.

The new injury will increase speculation that he could be sold by Real Madrid, who could use his fee to reinvest in new recruits. With Real Madrid struggling this season - they trail Barcelona by eight points already - his return was seen as crucial to helping them turn things around.
