Spanish La Liga match report Getafe v FC Barcelona 16 September 2017

Barcelona will feel fortunate to leave with all three points after being nowhere near their best against an impressive Getafe outfit.

Barcelona came from behind to register a 2-1 win against Getafe to maintain their 100% percent start to the season at the Estadio Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

Well, as it happens, it was neither, with Getafe midfielder Gaku Shibasaki opening the scoring during this afternoon's La Liga clash with an absolute fucking wallop of a volley from 25-yard out.

The Brazil global netted his first Barca goal with six minutes remaining as Ernesto Valverde's men recovered from a terrible first half to claim a fourth straight top-flight victory in 2017-18.

Shibasaki squared the ball across Ter Stegen's goal on the overlap and took a deflection off Pique, which rolled just wide of the German's right-hand post.

"Before the game started we saw that the grass was long and dry", said the midfielder, who replaced Andres Iniesta at half time.

The first shot of game fell to Getafe's Molina in the second minute who shot straight at Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

Gaku Shibasaki put the hosts ahead with a thunderbolt drive in the 39th minute.

In first half stoppage time Guaita produced a good save to turn Lionel Messi's free kick away for a corner.

However, Barcelona responded with fine strike from substitute Denis Suarez in the 62nd minute after great play from Sergi Roberto.

Paulinho celebrates after his winning goal helps Barcelona beat Getafe 2-1.

Barcelona completed the comeback vs. Getafe and remain flawless in La Liga courtesy of new-signing Paulinho's strike late on.

Paulinho came off the Barcelona bench in the 77th minute as the league leaders looked to hurt Getafe late on, but it was the home side that nearly scored 10 minutes from time, with Sergio Mora having a low shot deflected onto the post.
