The movie has received a good response at the Box office by collecting Rs 13 crore on its opening day. But, it seems like Akshay Kumar's "Toilet Ek Prem Katha" is set to break the curse and emerge as a blockbuster. "Toilet Ek Prem Katha" picked up pace with time and is expected to earn huge amount during the weekend which also happens to be extended with Independence Day on Tuesday. It garnered positive reviews from the critics due to a strong message and powerful storyline. Nevertheless, if the rumours turn out to be true, the makers of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha are in real danger as it may soon be made available online for viewers to download for free. Earlier to this, Akshay's Jolly LLB 2 and Rustom collected Rs 13.20 and Rs 14.11 crore respectively.
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is a story of a newly married couple, where the wife, disgusted by the open-defecation culture, lashes out and runs away from her husband's house.
Akshay Kumar's last few releases were also in the same range on the first day of the release. Several Bollywood celebs such as Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar and Varun Johar lauded the Shree Narayan Singh film.
