"It (calls for president's resignation) is an act which is maliciously and mischievously being promoted by some unpatriotic and unguided people who do not even appreciate the collective responsibility of preserving the integrity of the Nigerian state as a project and are sadly patronized by the Nigerian media", he said.

"I feel I could go home, but the doctors are in charge", Buhari said in a statement adding that there had been a "tremendous improvement" in his health.

"Here, the doctor is absolutely in charge", he told his media team that visited him on Saturday in London.
