Paris Saint-Germain's world record transfer Neymar had a goal and an assist as the capital club dismissed En Avant de Guingamp 3-0 in the Brazilian's PSG debut on Sunday. The Brazilian, signed from Barcelona for a world-record £198m, slotted home after 82 minutes, converting Edinson Cavani's low ball across the box.

The Brazil star took his place on the left-hand side of a front three alongside Cavani and Angel Di Maria and looked lively throughout against opponents who were happy to sit deep and defend in numbers until PSG found a breakthrough thanks to Jordan Ikoko's freakish own goal.

Neymar drove one shot over the crossbar but Marquinhos came the closest to breaking the first-half deadlock after his bullet header cannoned back off the crossbar.

Neymar had earlier provided a delightful 62nd-minute pass from which Cavani struck to make it 2-0. Neymar teed up Angel Di Maria for a similar chance soon after, but the Argentina winger was stopped by Johnsson from point-blank range (78').
