"Military solutions are now fully in place, locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely", Trump tweeted on Friday.

North Korea's army reportedly will complete plans in mid-August to fire four intermediate-range missiles over Japan to land near Guam.

Trump said earlier this week the USA would unleash "fire and fury" on North Korea if it continued to threaten the US and then said his rhetoric might not have been harsh enough.

He called on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to "find another path".

Earlier this week, Kim Jong Un said that Pyongyang is considering an attack on Guam, which hosts multiple United States military bases after Trump threatened Pyongyang with "fire and fury". Trump said via Twitter. And while the USA has the military resources in the region to strike North Korea at short notice, it does not appear to be sending in more military hardware as might be expected if it were preparing for a conflict.

China's government, via state media, said it would remain neutral if North Korea attacks the US but would defend its neighbor if the USA were to strike first against Kim Jong Un.

Trump's tweet comes after days of tough rhetoric toward the regime, which has made several threats to the United States amid a new United Nations sanctions package that was passed unanimously last week.

"If North Korea does anything in terms of even thinking about attack - of anybody that we love, or we represent, or our allies, or us - they can be very, very nervous".

He also warned on Thursday that, "if [Kim Jong Un] does something in Guam, it will be an event the likes of which nobody's seen before, what will happen in North Korea". Pyongyang has threatened to fire missiles near the U.S.
