Here's how you can see the Perseid Meteor Shower Saturday night

Impressive’ Perseid meteor shower seen over UK

Perseids are bits of the comet Swift-Tuttle and often create the most wonderful meteor shower of the year.

The Perseid Meteor Shower is in its peak this weekend, and you'll be lucky if you get to see about 40 to 50 meteors per hour.

However, "The Perseids will be a little more hard to see due to the presence of the moon, which will be three-quarters full and will rise shortly before the shower hits its peak", Space.com quoted Cooke.

Robin Scagell, vice president of the Society for Popular Astronomy, said: "There was one rogue report that said it was going to be the most impressive display for 96 years or some other rubbish". It's also helpful to let your eyes adjust for about 30 minutes in the darkness.

Schalle notes that northeastern parts of B.C. are expected to have clear skies, giving those in the area the best chance of spotting the meteor shower. Skies will be mostly clear and things will be feeling chilly as temperatures fall into the 50s following sunset on Saturday.

Malaysia among other countries is also making it hard for North Korean citizens from entering the country, the officials said. South Korea's former foreign minister, Yun Byung-se, also talked briefly with Ri at the same forum a year ago.

The Perseid meteors, shed by comet Swift-Tuttle, stage their show every August and are among the brightest of all shooting stars.

According to Omani astronomer and member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences Ali Amur Al Shaibani, "The shower actually began on July 17 and will continue till August 24".

Not only will a waning gibbous moon be rising in the region of the Perseid radiant, but the meteors will visible for longer when viewed streaking away from their point of origin.

Experts at the Met Office advise people to head to areas away from street lights to see the best of the showers.
