Friday's temperatures across the west will be in the upper 70s to low 80s, with the Grand Junction area seeing upper 80s.

Heavy rain and storms will continue to push east across the state this morning. Storms should remain across western Kansas and some may be strong to severe. Storms should diminish overnight.

We start off with mostly cloudy skies across the Mid-South, with temps warming up to 84°; heat index: 87°.
