Mueller Is Said to Be in Talks With White House About Interviewing Officials

"Saturday Night Live" will not be back until fall, but the folks at NBC were considerate enough to bless viewers with the "Weekend Update: Summer Edition", some thing that will tide them over until the show actually returns - because let's face it, we all need a little comedy to survive this ongoing horror show. "And now that I'm gone, you're all depressed and edgy and you're trying to figure out how to score some more Scaramooch!"

Anthony Scaramucci may be pleased to learn that he was portrayed by an SNL legend on last night's episode of Weekend Update: Summer Edition.

Even though Saturday Night Live is on hiatus, Colin Jost and Michael Che can still keep you in the know with summer editions of the Weekend Update.

Jost told NBC News earlier this week that missing out on covering Scaramucci's short tenure "was sort of like missing Christmas". "The Mooch", Hader said, interrupting the show by Face Timing the hosts.

The Mooch hasn't left the news since his ouster. He will be interviewed by George Stephanopoulos on ABC's This Week on 13 August and on 14 August on CBS's The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

New Hampshire hospital evacuated due to 'chemical release'
A mother taking her newborn to the pediatrician at the hospital said staff told her that only the emergency room is impacted. They say all of the Exeter Fire Department's units and multiple other units from nearby towns are operating at the hospital.

The best host joke came from Che, who made fun of President Donald Trump's proposed merit-based restrictions on immigration with a joke imagining the Statue of Liberty on Tinder. He then explained that his profanity-ridden tirade to The New Yorker was all meant to be off the record, and that he was misquoted on that infamous dig about Steve Bannon.

However, according to Bill Hader's Mooch, he was misquoted.

On Friday afternoon, he offered a critique of Hader's impression. He didn't critique the comedian's colorful language or his exaggerated Italian accent, but he did tweet that the former SNL star got his hair and tie wrong. The Mooch's firing is the flawless example of why the show exists.

It's also a chance for a few familiar and beloved faces to make an appearance, with the series' first episode seeing SNL alumni Bill Hader dropping in as Anthony "The Mooch" Scaramucci.
