Indian Army soldier killed in ceasefire violation by Pakistan

An Indian Army jawan was killed in the unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Jammu & Kashmir's Rajouri sector on Saturday.

They said that later in the day, Pakistani army allegedly again initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of Small arms, automatics and mortars from in Gulpur and Chaka Da Bagh sector along the Line of Control in Poonch.

Lance Naik Mohammed Naseer aged 35 years, belonged to Village Ajout, Tehsil Haveli, District Poonch, J&K and is survived by his wife Mrs Wasim Akhtar.

The incident comes hours after security forces cornered three Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists in south Kashmir's Pulwama district.

According to New Delhi, Pakistan has violated the ceasefire on 23 occasions alone in the month of June, along with carrying out a cross-border attack through its Border Action Team or BAT, which comprises of soldiers and non-state actors.
