OJ's next parole hearing will be televised
O.J. Simpson could be a free man this fall if a parole board grants him liberty next week.
He was acquitted of murder in 1995, when he was accused of killing Brown and Goldman.
In preparation for this, we've been looking back at Simpson's earlier hearing from a few years ago, when he was actually granted parole for some of his charges.
Simpson will reportedly appear in front of a Nevada parole board at 1 p.m. EST, via video conference from the Lovelock Correctional Center.
Should Simpson's parole be denied, he could remain in prison until 2022.
The so-called "Trial of the Century" captivated the country again previous year with the release of an Emmy-winning FX miniseries that dramatized the legal saga and an Oscar-winning ESPN documentary that delved into the social issues surrounding it.

Another former parole board chairman, Thomas Patton, told NBC that the current board will not be swayed "by something that was put out in a media context".
Simpson was convicted in 2008 for a botched robbery in Las Vegas and sentenced to 33 years. "They're looking at a particular crime for which he was incarcerated in Nevada", said Patton, who served as chair in 1997 and 1998.
It saw him and a string of accomplices break into a room at gunpoint and steal various O.J. Simpson collectibles from dealers Bruce Fromong and Alfred Beardsley. He has already been granted parole on some of the charges in 2013.
Another accomplice, Clarence C.J. Stewart, went on to trial and was convicted, but his case was overturned by the Nevada Supreme Court after it ruled he was denied a fair trial.
Simpson will have an opportunity to speak during the upcoming hearing, according to David Smith, a spokesman for the parole board. Simpson said, "61 maybe", referring to when he was arrested for the robbery.
Simpson is asking to be set free after almost a decade behind bars.
