The West Indies selectors on Monday made a decision to retain an unchanged 13-member squad, which played against Afghanistan in the three-match series, for the first two One-Day Internationals against India.
That means there is no return for seamer Shannon Gabriel as he continues to recover from an injury suffered in the second Afghanistan ODI.
The team from the Caribbean will have extra motivation going into the series as they need to perform well to rise to at least the eighth position in the ICC ODI rankings.
This could be an important series for West Indies cricket as a series defeat to the Champions Trophy runners-up could see them have to play in a potentially awkward qualifying event for the 2019 World Cup.
India's tour of West Indies begins on June 23. The Men in Blue will also play with the same squad of Champions Trophy with Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah being the only two players to be rested.
The West Indies' limited overs series against India will consist of five ODIs and a one-off Twenty20 worldwide, and will get underway on Friday in Trinidad.
Allrounder Jason Holder will be leading the side which has Devendra Bishoo, Jonathan Carter, Roston Chase, Miguel Cummins, Shai Hope in the batting top order while players like Kieran Powell, Rovman Powell, Kesrick Williams hold the responsibility of the bowling attack.
