WATCH: Girl falls out of Six Flags ride as bystanders catch her from below

Police Schenectady man charged after hitting woman

The teen was dangling from her gondola, and, as you'll see in the Facebook video below, her neck appeared to be trapped between the bars and the auto. At one point the girl's neck became stuck in a safety bar, and a person in the crowd gathered below the girl can be heard shouting, "Her neck is stuck". Both Howard and the unidentified man from Schenectady were treated for back injuries and released.

The crowd erupted into cheers and clapping as the girl was rushed by staff to an awaiting golf-buggy to take her for medical treatment.

"Looking at her today knowing she was alright because of me and my daughter, made it worth it", Howard said.

"At the end of the day, whatever happened, we saved this girl's life, and now she's got a second chance", Winchell said.

Loren Lent said his wife, daughter and two of her friends were on the ride at the time.

He and his other kids looked up and saw the teen hanging from the chair.

He claimed park employees took too long to stop the ride and said the ride lacked a seatbelt. "I'm not going to let you fall", said Mr Howard.

Witnesses said she was lifted up and carried to a golf cart where emergency workers arrived to help her.

The 14-year-old girl, who has not been publicly identified, did not sustain any serious injuries in the Saturday incident, according to local authorities.

She was in stable condition with no serious injuries.

A crowd of people managed to catch a teenager who fell from her rollercoaster pod at a theme park.

Officials inspected the Sky Ride and said it was in proper working order. A group of park visitors gathered directly beneath the girl and convinced her to wriggle free of the safety bar and let herself fall into their arms.

The woman, who was not identified, was transported to an area hospital.

However, it remained closed Sunday while the park conducts an internal review, spokeswoman Rebecca Wood said.

We are continuing our investigation and our thoughts and prayers are with the guest and her family.

Officials at Great Escape say there wasn't any malfunction with the ride.
