20 June 2017, 10:09 | Terri Saunders

Sara's stepfather, Mark Wallace, shared a video of Sara online, writing: "I really miss that amusing little laugh".

An online fundraising campaign, originally set up to collect money to send Ms Zelenak's parents to the United Kingdom, has been re-opened in light of the confirmation of her death.

Sara Zelenak, 21, of Brisbane remains missing.

The body was recovered near Limehouse in east London, downstream of London Bridge.

The Boden family, in a statement released on Tuesday night, said Kirsty was running to help victims of the stabbing and van attack when she was fatally injured.

Ms Boden was killed after running to help others hurt in the attack.

The man who tried to save Australian nanny Sara Zelenak as she was stabbed by terrorists in London has revealed he is haunted and can not sleep after the harrowing attack.

An Australian nanny missing since the London Bridge terror attack was killed in the atrocity, her mother has said.

"We are heartbroken by these awful crimes and by this bad loss", he said.

"Every death is a tragedy but this particular event seems to touch us in a particular way - a country girl from South Australia dying in an act of global terrorism seems to reach into every single one of our homes".

'As she ran towards danger, in an effort to help people on the bridge, Kirsty sadly lost her life, ' they said.

Grave concerns are held for 21-year-old Queensland woman Sara Zelenak who disappeared at London Bridge on Sunday and is still missing.

In a letter posted outside, the Ummah Fitness Centre said staff would "help the police in any way we can" as investigators try to learn more about Khuram Shazad Butt.

Xavier Thomas, from Loire-Atlantique, and his girlfriend Christine Delcros - who was seriously injured - were walking over London Bridge at the time the attack started. "Very friendly, caring, always with a smile on her face".

Her family are reported to be distraught and "bracing for the worst".

She said how excited Sara had been about coming to the UK.

Khuram Shazad Butt, 27, and 30-year-old Rachid Redouane were initially named as two of the suspects, London's Metropolitan Police said Monday. Her friend, Pri Goncalves, was the last person to see her.

The Herald said she had been on London Bridge with a friend after leaving a restaurant when they heard a van crash.

"Where (the) policemen were stabbed three months ago, she was there the day before in the exact same spot", Ms Wallace told 97.3FM radio in Brisbane.

Her high school, Moreton Bay College, wrote on Facebook that its "hearts are broken" by Ms Zelenak's death.

'You bought so much joy into our lives, to me an Bea for so long and also to Mum and Dad, who took you under their wing like no other. "I'm so excited to go to Paris!"

Ms Gonçalves added that it was the scariest moment of her life and that she thought she was going to die.

Both were au pairs at Herne Hill in south London and struck up a bond immediately.

"But horror, absolute horror, " she said.
