Jeter's No 2 retired by Yanks; Monument Park plaque unveiled

The Yankee stadium serenaded Jeter with cheers and Frank Sinatra's "My Way" as he walked onto the field with his wife Hannah Davis, who is now pregnant with their first child.

The Yankees retired the No. 2 for longtime shortstop Derek Jeter Sunday night but "The Captain" is already considering un-retiring his number for one special person.

"When you play here in NY for 20 years, I learned that the time flies, memories fade, but the family is forever", he said.

Along with honoring Jeter with a lengthy tribute video, the Yankees dedicated his number and his career accomplishments on a plaque at the Monument Park. And I'll be eternally grateful to be a part of the Yankees family, ' he continued.
