'Republicans kicked a hornet's nest' and Democrats say they will pay in 2018
President Donald Trump is urging Senate Republicans to "not let the American people down".
Republican senators plan to write a health care bill that could be radically different from the one passed last week by the House, according to a Bloomberg report. Trump tweeted. "ObamaCare premiums and deductibles are way up - it was a lie and it is dead!" But Republicans insisted their office seats were made possible, in many cases, by constituents who have implored them to end Obamacare and improve health care coverage. The key of having a continuous coverage provision is to make sure that people stay covered and they move from one plan to the next if they want to.
House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., said he was not concerned about political fallout because of the vote.
Major medical and other groups, including the American Medical Association, opposed the House bill.
Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price on Sunday firmly defended health care legislation passed in the House this week against charges that people who have pre-existing conditions could see their insurance premiums rise under some circumstances, NBC News reported. He added that people who will be impacted by the bill will be "living in the emergency rooms again".
"We're going to do something better and we're going to do our job as legislators to get this thing done".

Tottenham's Kane tops Premier League scoring charts
Kane averages a goal every 94 minutes in the league this season, and unsurprisingly described the campaign as his best yet. Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino said he has no concerns about holding on to Kane during the summer transfer window.
The Senate is expected to overhaul the bill as they try coming up with a plan that can muster enough support to clear the upper chamber. That means he can afford to lose just two senators; Vice President Mike Pence would vote to break a 50-50 tie in his constitutional role as vice president of the Senate.
Collins also took issue with the bill's failure to adjust the size of its tax credits based on people's income or where they live.
"We think we need to do even more support for people who are older and also more support for people with pre-existing conditions", Ryan told ABC.
"It is an impossible thing to do, and my job and the MA delegation's job is to make their job even tougher", Markey added at the Boston office of Health Care for All, an advocacy group.
"There are some times in life you have to do what's right, not what's politically expedient", Priebus said Sunday.
Collins and Ryan appeared on ABC's "This Week" and Priebus was on "Fox News Sunday".
