Please note that the following information will contain possible spoilers for the upcoming and new season of The Bachelorette starring Rachel Lindsay. "I was ready to have another opportunity to find love". Last season on The Bachelor, ABC used clever editing and cut-away moments with "To Be Continued" screens, so that fans would think something shocking was coming. Rachel Lindsay has made history as the first African-American lead on The Bachelorette, but that doesn't matter to her. I feel like I don't even deserve this.

The Bachelorette premieres Monday, May 22 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. This is interesting since it gives you more of a "squad" feel; these people are Rachel's genuine friends, and they know more what she's like than someone like JoJo Fletcher would. This season's single men represent the show's most diverse bunch yet, and in true "Bachelorette" fashion, feature a couple of wacky contestants, like 31-year-old Jonathan, a tickle monster from New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; and 30-year-old Lucas, a "whaboom" (whatever that is) from Santa Monica, Calif.

Lindsay first appeared on Nick Viall's season of The Bachelor, and in February, before her elimination was aired, ABC revealed that she would star in the new season of The Bachelorette. After the world learns more about her, it is time for the viewers to see the introduction videos of some of the guys she will have to choose from.

Her winning mystery man won't be revealed until the season finale later this summer, but until then, she says they're keeping in constant contact secretly.

"I'm trying to take things one step at a time", she said. "But my mom told me to follow my gut and that's what I've done".
