Utah Jazz center Jeff Withey responded to domestic violence allegations made by ex-fiancee Kennedy Summers, calling them "patently false", TMZ Sports reports.

Utah's backup center with Rudy Gobert injured, Withey, 27, played in 51 games this season for the Jazz, averaging 2.9 points and 2.4 rebounds. No charges have been filed.

TMZ, which first reported the allegations, said the report discussed "multiple alleged incidents", including one from 2016, but did not give any other details on what Summers told police. Summers resides in California, and has reportedly been concerned for her safety and well-being now that Withey will be in a close proximity to her while his team travels close to the area. "And while Kennedy is a huge social media fan, unfortunately some of the negative effects it brings to people while in relationships. caused several serious issues that caused her to end this engagement".
