Bitch Jason Chaffetz promises not to leave Congress 'tomorrow' or 'next week'

Utah governor declines to say if he'll run for re-election

Then he jested, "Who knows, I may run for Congress" to replace Chaffetz - and he jokingly said he was irritated that his name had not been included in the long list of people seen as potential candidates to replace Chaffetz.

During his monthly news conference Thursday on KUED-TV, he indicated he might run again - but it came amid several jokes.

"I started poking around to see what I might be worth and what sort of possibilities are there", he said. I am healthy. I am confident I would continue to be re-elected by large margins.

"Not in any way shape or form", Chaffetz, chair of the House Oversight Committee, said in an interview with Politico.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz says he may step down early from his House seat, leaving a vacancy that would be filled by a special election that is fuzzy under current state law.

Chaffetz led high-profile and persistent investigations into Hillary Clinton before the 2016 presidential election but took a tepid approach to Trump's alleged conflicts of interest and ties to Russian Federation. A month later, he touched off anger by suggesting people should spend their money on health insurance instead of iPhones. "After more than 1,500 nights away from my home, it is time".

Henderson said she and her family are strongly considering a campaign.

"I will continue to weigh the options, but I might depart early", Chaffetz said.

Hughes and Wright didn't return messages. McMullin didn't respond to messages seeking comment but has said he's considering a run for U.S. Senate or House in 2018 in Utah.

"Absolutely, positively not", Chaffetz said.

Chaffetz, who was first elected in 2008 and quickly rose to prominence in the Republican party, has previously expressed interest in running for governor of the Beehive State.

Utah Gov. Gary Herbert said Thursday that Chaffetz has served the state well.

Utah election officials told Reuters they haven't been formally told about any plans for Chaffetz to resign. Sam Johnson of Texas and Lynn Jenkins of Kansas are retiring.
