Size Model Tess Holliday Boycotts Uber After Claiming Driver Fat-Shamed Her

The model recorded the conversation and uploaded the video on her verified Instagram account alongside a long caption. A person's health is exclusively their business, as is their weight and how it affects or does not affect their life. "I'm flawless. Yup, I'm healthy", she said at one point.

Tess Holliday is boycotting Uber after she claims she was body-shamed by a male driver.

"No one should have to tolerate this at any level of the services you offer", Holliday writes on Instagram.

Tess Holliday has always been an advocate and leading force in the body-positive movement, so it's little surprise that she called out an Uber driver who thought it a good idea to discuss her health during their drive together. I'm fat. I also have a fat wallet and will no longer be using your services.

Holliday said that after she informed the driver she was healthy he switched the radio off and changed the subject. Since originally posting the video, she did go back to clarify something.

The model - who spearheaded the infamous #EffYourBeautyStandards campaign, reinforcing that beauty comes in many different forms - shared a video of the anonymous driver, with a text overlay which read: "My driver who is fat is questioning if I'm healthy". It's not like Uber hasn't had major issues with its drivers in the past.

"Saying my driver is fat was obviously being used as a descriptor & not to insult him", she wrote.

The model, who is unabashedly proud of her size and confident in her health and looks, noted she mentioned the driver's own size (but not his face or any identifying features) to show what she deals with daily from all sorts of people.
