It is believed police had been tracking the man for several days.

A wanted man has been Tasered and arrested by police after a dramatic early-morning high-speed vehicle chase on Punt Road.

A high-speed chase ensued and the Jaguar twice rammed into police cars at 2.50am.

Police said they used a Taser and capsicum spray to arrest a man and woman at the scene.

Police tried to intercept the man about 9pm on Fawkner Street with lights but he took off at high speed before losing control and crashing his motorbike on Southbank Boulevard.

He was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries and has been charged with evading police and other traffic related offences.

Police will interview the offender following his medical treatment.

The value and owner of the luxury vehicle have not been revealed by police however Jaguars are priced between $50,000 and $100,000 in Australia.
