Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs take control of play-off series

Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue talks with Iman Shumpert in the second half in Game 2 of a first-round NBA basketball playoff series Monday

Franchise history suggests they'll get them. The Pacers have limited resources to drastically improve the team this offseason and limited time to do so, with George's free agency rapidly approaching.

No team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in the National Basketball Association playoffs, and the Indiana Pacers sure don't look like they're going to be the first to do it.

Through his first two playoff games this season, LeBron is posting averages of 28.5 points, 10.0 assists, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 2.0 blocks per game.

"We knew we had to take (some) punches, but it was a flurry, more than we expected", James said.

I'm not too anxious about the Cavs on paper, especially with how well the Big Three have been playing. LeBron James finished with 25 points while Kevin Love had 27 points.

In short, it would not have been a surprise if the Cavs turned in a sleepy Game 3 performance to allow the Indiana Pacers to stay alive in the first round.

"Shump was unbelievable", coach Tyronn Lue said.

"I'm not a numbers guy but that doesn't seem to add up". "When it was his turn, he stepped up and played well".

The Indiana Pacers are trying to climb back into their playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and fans have the chance to show their support with rallies this week.

None of his teammates scored more than 13 points, but James made it so that they didn't have to. Defensively, we just didn't play that right.

The Cavs, however, aren't there yet.

Kyrie Irving led Cleveland with 37 points and really took charge in the second half, where he scored 25 of those.

George was critical of Stephenson following the 117-111 loss, pointing out Lance's tendency to let his emotions seep onto the court. "We're not doing anything aggressively". They had a super-secret defense (one that was actually good) that they would bust out when the going got tough.

Up 13 later in the quarter, Cleveland had chances to extend its lead to 18 or 20, but instead the Pacers made it a 79-70 game before Love took over. He's upset that the Pacers have to fight their way back from a 2-0 deficit against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. It got the crowd into it and got the bench into it.

Irving and the Cavs are on the road for Game 3 on Thursday. Cleveland is 12-0 when starting 2-0 in the postseason.

They forged into a 51-39 lead after a 16-2 run before the Pacers battled back to within five points as the half finished with the Cavs up 63-58. "He's got to learn to just be in the moment".
