Trump golfing at faster rate than Obama, but Spicer says it's different

Egypt's el-Sissi to meet Trump in Washington early April

GCHQ issued a rare public denial over the Trump Tower spying claims

Trump appears to have played golf 10 times since taking office, a rate of once every six days.

Before he was president, Trump posted tweets like, "Can you believe that with all of the problems and difficulties facing the U.S., President Obama spent the day playing golf".

"I don't think the rubbish being uttered by the Trump camp will affect the day-to-day operational co-operation between the United Kingdom and USA intelligence agencies, but it'll be important to remind our partners there that more consideration and respect need to be afforded to the intelligence communities by the Trump administration".

But White House spokesman Sean Spicer also said Trump's right to "privacy" is one reason that the Trump administration hasn't trumpeted the outcomes of his meetings on golf courses.

Spicer said he could not confirm reports of an upcoming Mar-a-Lago summit in April with Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Trump's top aides would rather obscure that fact, especially considering the President's past comments about the sport and the White House.

Asked how Trump's golf outings were different from Obama's, Spicer said: "You saw him utilize this as a opportunity with Prime Minister (Shinzo) Abe to help foster deeper relationships in Southeast Asia, in Asia rather, and have a growing relationship that's going to help USA interests".

Chinese Premier says trade friction should be tackled through dialogue
China is New Zealand's second-largest trading partner, with two-way trade reaching a new all-time high of $23 billion in 2016. Mr English said the visit demonstrated the shared commitment of China and New Zealand to open trade and economic growth.

Among his other playing partners have been company executives and pro golfers like Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods and Ernie Els. Of the 11 trips to his Florida golf clubs, the White House has confirmed he played a round only three times, according to Knoller's tally.

He's the Tiger Woods of hypocrisy.

Golf Digest calls Trump "The best golfer to ever hold the presidency", with a 2.8 handicap. We don't have time for this.

And before he ran for president, Trump would tweet about Obama's golfing.

Britain is said to be ready to forget the spat after the United States agreed not to repeat claims GCHQ wiretapped Mr Trump.

How is Trump's golf game different from Obama's?

Now, citing the President's privacy, Trump's aides are left trying to hide the President's frequent golfing.
